Wills, Probate and Administration of Estates
We, at Collins LLP, provide expert legal advice in the following areas:
- Making Wills
- Estate and tax planning
- Extracting Grants of Representation
- Enduring Power of Attorney
- Will and Probate Disputes
If I have no Will?
If a person dies without having made a will they are said to have died “intestate” and their assets are distributed in accordance with the Rules of Intestacy pursuant to The Succession Act, 1965 and not necessarily in accordance with their own wishes.
Proper estate planning provides peace of mind. A validly made Will is necessary in order for your assets to be distributed after your death in accordance with your wishes. We, at Collins LLP, will ensure that your Will is validly made and executed while helping you to minimise any inheritance tax payable by your beneficiaries.
Probate and Administration of Estates
Sometimes when a person dies it is necessary for the transfer of assets and property to extract a Grant of Representation to the deceased’s estate.
We will deal sensitively with the Legal Personal Representatives while using our expertise to guide them through the process in order to extract the relevant Grant and thereafter to vest the assets in the relevant beneficiaries.
