Peter Collins obtained his BCL Degree at UCC and subsequently qualified as a Solicitor in 1982. His main areas of interest are Residential, Agricultural and Commercial Conveyancing, Litigation, Family and Child Law with a particular interest in all forms of District Court representation. He holds Certificates in Advanced Advocacy from the Law Society of Ireland the Law Society of Northern Ireland and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. Peter is a board member of M.R.D. which is a community company dedicated to improving the town of Carrick-on-Shannon, a former secretary of Leitrim Bar Association and a member of numerous local clubs.
Elaine O’Toole BA qualified as a Solicitor in 2000. She also holds a Diploma in Trust & Estates from the Law Society of Ireland and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She is a native of Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo and spent a number of years in general practice in Galway before relocating to Carrick-on- Shannon in 2006. Her main areas of practice are litigation including personal injury work, Family Law, Conveyancing, Probate, Wills and Administration of Estates, Judicial Reviews. She has extensive Court experience in all Courts.
Donal Scanlon joined Collins Solicitors as a trainee in 2006 and has practised as a Solicitor since qualifying in 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Laws in Law and European Studies from University College Limerick. Donal is a native of Athlone, Co. Westmeath. He is involved in all aspects of the practice. He specialises in Probate, Debt Recovery, Conveyancing and Litigation.
Marie Bolger Practice and Accounts Manager is with Collins Solicitors since 1991. Starting off as a Legal Secretary, Marie has held her above position for the last 16 years. Marie has been involved with many local Choirs down through the years. She lives in Rooskey, Co. Roscommon.
Stephanie James Personal Assistant to Peter Collins. She returned to Collins Solicitors in 2002 after working for two years as a Personal Assistant to a leading criminal antitrust Lawyer in Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Brussels. She lives in Kilmore, Co. Roscommon with her husband and children and is a legal executive.
Yvonne McAllister Personal Assistant to Elaine O’Toole has been with the firm since 2004. She previously worked as a Personal Assistant to a Tax Lawyer in White & Case, a leading U.S. Law Firm located in Brussels and as a legal executive in Sligo and Galway. She lives in Ballinamore with her husband and children. She is a keen runner and is involved in many local clubs and sporting organisations.
